Post Coronavirus — World after Pandemic

A quick go through

We never knew one day we will face this pandemic. We never knew world health organizations would fail to diagnose the severity of it in its early stage. We never knew the world would lockdown and the worst, no antidote has been released yet. The world’s economy has dropped to the lowest since 2012, and this time hitting harder. People all over the world have been affected by these pandemic diseases. People are surviving without jobs, without money, without food. Children have run out of their school routines and are far behind their courses. People have restricted themselves to their houses, and working from home. But will this be the only change that our society will face? Or do we have some more things to face yet? Perhaps yes. It’s hard to say when will the world normalize? But not any day sooner. It will take time to revive after such a huge collapse. We haven’t got out of this situation as of now, and we don’t know how long it will take, but the world will perhaps not remain the same post coronavirus.

What can change in this world, if thought carefully then the answer to it is ‘all the unnecessary activities that earlier were assumed as the important ones’.

  • Unusual crowding — this may be the first change that society may observe. To date, we never understood the importance of staying indoors. Human distancing is actually important to keep off unwanted infections always. We go out shopping, we go out to dine, we go out in the cars just for a drive, are these activities really important? Aren’t we interfering with nature too much? If this unnecessary crowding of people stops throughout the world, it will prove a great benefit for nature as well as humans.
  • Going online — yes, this will happen. People will automatically turn online. That will help them to stay indoors and still get their supplies. Be it clothes, food, groceries, general supplies, or any other item, people will prefer buying them online despite wasting their time and energies in queues and traffic. This will save petrol, unwanted crowds, and above all, it will keep people away from any infections as well.
  • Work from home — during this epidemic one thing we all have learned that working from home is not something impossible. In fact, one can work comfortably from home. In the future, companies may cut down on their office staff and hire people working from home. One can’t deny this possibility.
  • Non-essential economic activities may shut down — there are so many fields, where there is the mass production of things that are not even required. They produce it just because people consume it. For example branded clothes, shoes, cosmetics, artificial jewelry, etc. These are a mere part of an urge, they aren’t actually required. So maybe in the future, these kinds of mass production of unnecessary items may shut down.
  • Online tutorials — online tuitions may get into the trend. Sending our children out at institutions may seem to be a little worrisome for some parents. Even the government won’t risk the future of their respective countries. Children will have the privilege to attend schools or tuitions from home itself. The system may vary from state to state or country to country.

The world may be entirely different after the lockdown, or maybe it will change partially. But change is meant to happen. We have indulged ourselves so much in the unimportant activities, that we have forgotten the essence of important amenities. Our family, our togetherness is much more important than a blind date. We need only two meals to survive, we need just one pair of shoes while walking. We hardly need any fancy clothes. Conveyances are just for fun or a need during an emergency. For entertainment, TV is enough. Family is our first friend and love is all we need to spread in this world.
